How do I know if I need therapy?

If you’ve been feeling stuck, overwhelmed, or dealing with emotions that you can’t seem to shake, therapy might be helpful. Whether you’re facing a specific issue or just want to better understand yourself, therapy can offer support and new perspectives.

What can I expect in the first session?

In our first session, we’ll get to know each other. You can share a bit about what’s bringing you to therapy, and I’ll ask some questions to understand how I can best support you. It’s also a great time to ask any questions you have.

How long will I need to be in therapy?

Therapy is different for everyone. Some people come for a few months, others stay longer. It really depends on your goals and how things progress. We’ll regularly check in to see how you’re feeling about our work together.

Is therapy confidential?

Yes, everything we talk about in therapy is confidential. The only exceptions are if there’s a serious risk to your safety or the safety of someone else, which I’ll explain in detail when we start working together.

How often will we meet?

Most clients start with weekly sessions, but we can adjust the frequency depending on your needs. Some people may need more frequent sessions during particularly tough times, and others may scale back as they start to feel better.

Do you offer a free consultation?

Yes, I offer a free consultation. It’s a chance for us to chat, see if we’re a good fit, and answer any questions you have before you decide to move forward.

What if I’m nervous about starting therapy?

Feeling nervous is totally normal! Starting therapy is a big step, and it’s okay to feel unsure. My role is to help you feel comfortable, and we’ll move at a pace that works for you.

I don't need grief therapy, can I still see you?

Absolutely! I offer individual therapy that focuses on whatever you feel is most important for you right now. If you’re feeling overwhelmed, struggling with relationships, or just want to work on personal growth I would love to help you out.

What is your cancellation policy?

The cancellation policy requires at least 48 hours’ notice for rescheduling or canceling an appointment. If you cancel within 48 hours of your scheduled session, or if you do not show up for your appointment, you may be charged the full session fee. This policy helps ensure that the time slot can be offered to other clients who may need it.
